Buman was always amazed how fast snakes can move and strike, but his parents would never let him own one. On the other hand, they were willing to let him adopt a Mystic snake as a friend since they and all other mystic animals are as sapient as the human and humanoid ones and aren't as likely to want to bite when handling them. So, they went to a pet store that doubled as a foster home for Mystic animals without the physical or magical means of taking care of themselves that don't want to take their chances by living out in the wild, where they would buy him a glowing tail mystic snake Buman named Fiona.

Fiona really loves to eat but unlike my other gluttonous snake characters, she can control herself on how much she eats at a time, preferring to eat big animals, including deer, large birds, and green iguanas, though she'll settle for rodents, small birds, pigs, and even local pests if Bud and Soman insist. She's very disciplined for an animal and is always gentle when slithering on Buman. As for her glowing tail, she uses it to attract potential prey that are attracted to light. When she gets to eat, she always wraps around her prey and, if they're alive, constricts them to death before swallowing them whole, preferably headfirst. If the prey is small enough, she's more willing to swallow them backwards. as in, the rear end first, and not just the feet and tail first.

She is a bit protective of Buman around strangers and while she restrains herself from trying to squeeze anyone, she's willing to bite if she or Buman are under threat. Buman is also protective of her, making sure she doesn't stray to where she isn't supposed to be and watching over her when taking trips outside the home. Overall, they sure are best friends and will always stick up to each other when times get rough.
