It was nauseating.
Torn asunder and put back together.
The five senses were in a cacophony of agony and delight. Or was that just their own voice? Hard to tell from the myriad of others within the cascading symphony.
Everything had blurred into tomorrow, or was that yesterday? A fortnight ago? Decades from now? When did this even start? Would it even end? It didn't appear to be the case.
But then it did, coming to a shrieking halt.
A true miracle that they didn't feel anything from such an abrupt pause.
No— They did, suffering just for a scant nanosecond. And brought back together just as quickly. So swift that it rendered them unable to register the pain that should've drowned them.
How?
But then a voice rang out, different from theirs and clearly amused.
The water felt wrong—where did it even come from?
The coyote’s smirk reached past his eyes and out even farther. But then their mind righted the mistake, making him look natural once more.
He was Wrong. No— IT was Wrong.
“You’re far too far away from where you should be, friend.” The coyote purred, licking its lips and what was between them. Was that their arm? But then it was back where it should be, attached to their body. “Quite the ambitious little one, I’ll admit.” It leaned across the water, far too big for their perception.
“But ever heard of a little phrase called Curiosity kills the cat?”

My first project for this year.
Trying out a few things differently to see how they’d fare for myself. The eye is colored with a different method in this piece. I like how it turned out. So I’m going to see how it’ll look as I usually do them as well.
I attempted to render a wet shirt in this project too. It was my first time doing so, and while I’m not satisfied with the result. I’m still pleased that I was able to somewhat pull it off.
The subject in this project is a redesign of my “mascot”, Nelly. You can find him somewhere in my gallery here.
