A blue-grey mist blanketed the desolate planet. The air was stale and it was ominously quiet as if the planet was a corpse. It just didn't feel right, as if some unknown evil was waiting out there for it's chance to swoop down on them.

The others were hesitant about stepping onto the surface, but a solitary sentient with firey hair moved forward closely followed by a large dragonic form.

"Liah!" One of the others shouted at her, "This planet is uncharted! We don't know what kind of dangers are out there!"

The young woman looked back and with a big grin said, "I'm a scout. It's my job!"

Some of my watchers will recognize Liah, but her companion is probably completely unknown.

Nimbus is a cobyth (or Grand Imperial Dragon as some in the Azure Wheel Universe like to call them). Cobyths are draconic in appearance, but are just as much dragons as platypus are ducks. Cobyth actually evolved from an archaeopteryx type creature.

Liah rescued Nimbus when he was just a pup. His wing was badly injured and part of it had to be amputated (Not shown here in this picture, obviously). A cobyth who cannot fly usually cannot live a normal life, but Liah gave him a purpose. He now acts as a transport, carrying Liah or the other crew members swiftly across rough terrain or battlefields.
