I don't think I've been this happy with a drawing since... ever. It's got plenty of flaws I'm sure, but it's also the first time I've done a lot of things I don't normally do, and way more successfully than I've ever done them before: First time I've done a detailed background in a while now, finally got the hang of using the grass brush I made (at least I think so), played with a layer setting I've never used before, and most importantly (to me at least), this is the first time I've felt bold enough to use really dark, dramatic shading without freaking out over the fact it covers most of the detail in my line art/coloring.

Don't let the above fool you though: I would love critique on this, especially on the shading/use of color. Please don't hesitate to rip me a new one!

ANYWAYS. This is a mood drawing of sorts. I've felt strangely... detached lately. I'm not really sure how to describe it without being super TL;DR, but I got this image in my head aaaaaaand here we are.
