Thinking of some bittersweet stuff

For some context, Jay finds the texture of his scales and new feathers very awful and tends to pick on them, sometimes to the point of bleeding when he's really zoning out or spiraling. It's another thing he's very aware of and keeps to himself, but as soon as Sal sees he's hurt she's won't stop until he's properly patched up.

It's a difficult thing to process since he kept so much hidden, the guilt of it never seems to let go, but Sal is patient and kind by nature, hard focused on making sure Jay isn't suffering anymore than he already is. She's just happy he's willing to accept her help.
