I Love You Twice: Truth Hurts
When you hear the person you love crying, you're supposed to find a way to help them. That's just the way it works. But the specific problem bothering Kelly is kind of a big one, and Dave's not sure what to do...
I say "implied" but we all know what these two have been up to...
It's been a while since we've seen Dave and Kelly, and I'm most pleased to bring them back. This story doesn't contain any naked fun (for a good reason, I assure you), but it does address some of the problems that up til now the Parrishes have been doing their best to ignore.
The debate website, by the way, really exists, it's called Debatepedia and you can find it here. I took all of the points specifically mentioned from a real page there, though I admit I made up some of the news stories Dave browses afterwards.
I really hope you like this story, I've been working extra-hard to make sure the emotions and dialogue felt right.

I really enjoyed this little outing with our favorite felines. It has been a while, hasn't it?
Hearing the pair discuss the big, bad future and the world at large in more than vague generalities is something I remember thinking about from some of my earlier peeks into their escapades. And now that I've seen it, I can say that I think you did a wonderful job with it.
The parental matter is an interesting one that will make for a good read if you ever get that far in the Parrish timeline (at this rate, I expect that story would come out somewhere in the 2030's ). It makes me wonder if it would be better or worse to try out the "coming out of my sister's bedroom" discussion with a good friend first. Food for thought, I suppose.
In any case, it's good to see the pair back in action, even if nobody actually got any action in this story. XD

Thanks much for the kind words. I find I'm letting entirely too much time go by between chapters of my most important stories lately. Gotta work on that.
I'm glad this story read well, it's been a very long time since I posted a story without any sex in it, that tried to get by on the strength of its emotions alone. Always good to hear when I've done that properly. Thanks again for your continued interest in my work. n_n

Wow. AWESOME stuff man.
Just to let you know- this is legitimately my favorite series of all time. I've read EVERY Dave & Kelly story about 5-6 times (I tend to re-read everything every time you post another story). And it just never gets old. I love it every time.
This more than made my day :D so thank you.
I look forward to reading more in the future!!! (though hopefully not TOO far in the future :P )
(I've never even posted here before, so I'm no esteemed critic, but just know that you've got plently of fans :) )

After reading all 13 installments of this series in the fairly short span of the last few days, I can't get over how incredibly deep it hit me.
I haven't been this emotionally stimulated since reading professionally written bestselling novels.
I part hated this and part felt it was my favorite story since the beginning trilogy that got me hooked. So full of disrepair and hope.
After reading these, I'm temped to go read all you other stories, even tho M/M does nothing for me. If the writing is anywhere near as good as it was for these, I think I'll like it regardless.
P.S. I also commented on https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=5082
P.P.S. I'd to see you bring back the nice little childhood flashbacks at the beginning of one of your stories down the road. May be vary fitting for when and if the time comes that they tell their parents. Tho that is probably a few installments away.

Wow. Now this is a couple that really loves each other. They have all kinds of obstacles between their goals and a hundred different reasons not to go through with it, but even in their darkest moments they don't seriously consider giving it all up. Instead, as here, they look to the future. Maybe not a future that will be bright, shiny and happy all the time, but one where they can be together. And in the end, that's all they need.
It's all so beautiful.
A wonderful series and I look forward to seeing more of them some day.

To be honest, I love the world, with the mix of human, morphic and feral, and I adore these two.
There are points that you have improved on in your writing as you went, and I think you are doing a great job with the stories.
Keep up the great work, I am looking forward to the next installment for these two.
