The Temaktani Dragon are one of the Original 8 species of Laramidia and Appalachia before the Tannin. In the current day and age, they have disappeared from this world, not extinct but something much stranger. Though they are gone, they still have a lingering impact on the world they left. During the War of the 8 kingdoms they were briefly allied with the Tonatani as fear has a strong effect on the Temaktani and how they live being dragons of powerful psionic power. They eventually decided that they have had enough with the war and tried to turn their kingdom into a Dream World where they would not have to suffer anymore...And they succeeded, but are not free from suffering, they have become trapped by it.

The Temaktani tend to be very sensitive and emotional, can read surface thoughts of others, and have a hard time distinguishing reality because dreams are not just something that happens in their head when they sleep. They are constantly dreaming even when awake and it's everyone's problem.

The Tannin experience an example of this with their own Psionic and Fear Dragons. Their Elemental Release have created altered landscapes that reflect the conscious and subconscious mind. If enough Dragons believe something to be true then the Psionic environment will manifest a mental embodiment of those dragon's belief. In the Fear landscape your actual fears and subconscious thoughts can manifest your own literal inner demons if you can't control them and once out of the bag they are hard to put back in.

The Temaktani are able to travel between a Physical and Mental Plane and passively manifest their own dream reality, but are also capable of manifesting the dream realities of other dragons around them and hardly have any real control over it because they lack the understanding that other dragons don't work like them. Eventually the stress, fear, and anger of other dragons during the war overwhelmed them too much and they tried to remain in the Dream World till it blows over, but being in a mental plane does not stop them from picking up on the subconsciouses of other dragons especially when they sleep, so they still get nightmares in their Dreamworld that are able to roam out into reality.
