The Teostani Dragon are one of the Original 8 species of Laramidia and Appalachia before the Tannin. They mostly dwell deep in the earth now in cavern systems and tunnels beneath Laramidia and Appalachia unbeknownst to the dragons above them except for a few of the Valkirtani. The Teostani would prefer to simply be left alone by outsiders but The Valkirtani discovered them during their experiments and then during the collapse of the Valkirtani Empire some of them struck a steep deal with the Teostani for their safety and were allowed sanctuary in the Underground, but they have made it clear that while they will put up with the Valkirtani's presence but they are not friends and they will not come to their aid unless there is a trade involved.

The Teostani are heavy built and solid with powerful front claws on their legs and what appears to be a shell is actually their wings which face forward and are able to fold up against their back to be used as protection, can be used as digging arms, or extend outwards and become actual wings which while incapable of flight can allow the Teostani to glide around the open caverns. Their eyes are very small and can not see very well but they can see UV light and parts of their scales are UV florescent so they can recognize one another even in the dark. They also have a stronger sense of smell and whiskers that can pick up movement and vibrations which is enough for them to navigate in the underground.

Their Magic ability manifests in their scales. They are able perform Earthcrafts through touch allowing them transform and induce reactions in Earthen materials: Soil, Rocks, Metals, Minerals, etc... or absorb the material and replicate magic or chemical reactions from their scales, so they can cover their body in Fire, Acid, make their skin as tough as Steel and Hard as diamond, and become a walking Explosive without taking damage to their own body.
