I did this one for the Drunkduck 2011 group photo, in which all of the have comic artists on the site were invited to submit full body portraits of one or two of their characters to be compiled into one huge picture of the sites many comics. I think Arc is probably the most iconic character from my comic so far (or at least one of the coolest looking), so he was an obvious choice to represent the Greening Wars.
He's one of numerous gene-spliced post-humans in my comic.
Some of which are out to save the planet.
And some are with the good guys who are trying to stop them.
And then there the rest of the humans and transgenics who have no idea whats going on.
And some people who just think they do, but don't.
And humans and/or transgenics who hate and/or love humans and/or transgenics...
...it gets complicated.
And some stuff blows up.
Umm...Maybe I'll just let Arc explain it from here:
I can't remember my own name.
I can't remember why I let The Greening make me like this.
Why I even joined The Greening in the first place. Probably something stupid.
That's what happens when you let a bunch of gene-splicing zealots tinker with your genes. Also stupid.
Most lanterns like me are lombotomized savants, basically a fuzzy tesla coil/radio on legs with an eidetic memory.
I got lucky, if you can call it that.
I just have a scrambled memory, with the sparklers thrown in free.
Because they screwed up, and more than they realize.
Because from what I CAN remember, I didn't volunteer for THIS.
Because I've escaped their cult.
Because I can still access the mindpool.
Because I can glimpse the things they're doing and wanting to do.
and there's only one thing I know for sure: They're not just a bunch of treehuggers.
They've got plans. Plans that don't include problems like me.
And they need to be stopped.
