The superhero Rick "Molecule Mink" Minaver in the late 1960s or early 70s, sitting shirtless at a mod pool bar (you'll have to take my word for it, he's got swim trunks on), flirting with the viewer from across the curved bar. Would you like to join him for a Sazerac Sling?

I created Molecule Mink basically as a plot device for vampire bat superheroine Jenny 'Feratu's backstory, where she and her cousin, the future supervillain Johnny Drac, were attacked by the brash young superhero in the 1950s. At one point, it was going to be a jock from the local college who turned out to have super strength, but I decided to go for a sci-fi-themed superhero instead to contrast with the supernatural vampires. He's a particle physicist with phase-through-solid-objects powers.

In the time this pic takes place, he's in his 40s and he's mellowed somewhat. I could have made him more obviously aged-up, but I figured that supeheroes, while not as ageless as vampires, would be pretty well-preserved. He does have some age lines by his eyes :). By the present-day of my superhero universe, his age will have caught up with him more. He eventually became a mentor to my techie/surfer dude otter superhero Streamline. I think you can see the influence.
