Like the previous arts, I tried a new coloring technique on this character too. In general, it’s just me adding multiply colored layer on shading layer and add tint, then subtly blend the character with the background colored by hard-light mode. However, there is a subtler color-choosing method that I used - I tried to choose the support color from the area on the color palette that’s close to the main color of the character, avoid the color with high saturation value (more than 80), and made a subtle gradation for color that’s from furthest area to bridge them together, then use hard-light blending mode to blend it all again. With this way I can control value of saturation and lightness and make sure the color looks compatible and harmonious even though the hues are different.

With a few mor practice and I will either make OCs, adopts, and open commission using this technique✨ Also, I will draw mor Alkan, but may or may not post here. He’s created to draw NSFW stuff so I might put future art in another gallery lol
