Awww.... That's adorable. My girls won't sleep just laying against me... They insist on climbing into my shirt sleeve or pant leg so they can be in the dark and warm. Very sweet boy you go there

They can be so sweet some times ^^ I have a great love for rodents. There so much more affectionate then there given credit for. Yours looks really sweet ^^

We're not rodents...we're mustelids. No one calls otters rodents, no, but they see a ferret or a weasel and we're automatically rodents.

I've got an idea, go out into the woods, find a badger or a wolverine, and try and convince him/her that they're a rodent.

I hate that. I got annoyed when I was looking through an animal photo gallery and Ferrets were filed under "rodents" XD

Oh, and of course they were right next to opossums >.>

Thats pretty much why i assumed. there listed under rodent in my animal reference book.

We aren't rodents anymore than oppossums are. We're only filed that way because people consider us rodents for some screwed up reason.

Neither of us are of the family rodentia, and that's a huge sign pointing to being a rodent and all.

Sorry about that. I do know people are rather protective of there species. I read that they were rodents in one of my book of animal reference. Please dont think less of rodents though. There just as sweet. Ive had a whole lot of them my self and i love them.

I raised rats, mice, and squirrels, I don't think less of rodents in the least. I'm just alittle tired of misconceptions.

Just because a ton of people don't consider us pet worthy, doesn't mean we aren't lovable. No rat, mouse, squirrel, ferret, any of the "lesser pets" as I've heard us called, has been any less loving than my dogs, cats, or birds.

In most cases, you get an even more loyal friend for life.

The difference felt to me like honest and loyal love and dependence. You see, I just lost my closest friend and he just happened to be a hooded rat. i have a picture of us in my scraps folder. he was my little beloved. To me every one who can love comes under the same species; friend. I know its a bit mushy >w< but i can be like that

Yeah, it's sad cos hand-reared Opossums are really mushy cuddly things, but people are always so afraid of the almost non-existent threat of rabies that they think they're vicious, foaming rodent-beasts :b I know I'd rather have an opossum than a cat any day. Not because I don't like cats - I have two - but I can get something just as affectionate and cuddly in an opossum with the benefits of not having to sneeze my brains out whenever I get near. Also, foot thumbs.

A ferret will decide lots of things look tasty. You wanna see something so onesided it's funny even though something dies? Try a 5 foot boa and a ferret. Budda (the ferret in question) had a hankering for snake brains, and he sure as hell got them.

Dumb ass friend...I told him to leave his snake in the carrier...

Cat-like fangs, yes, and lost not forget that those are packed into a jaw twice as strong as a cat could ever hope to have.
