This is a picture of a very handsome deer named Walden J. Whitetail, who graciously let me take some pictures with him!
For those who don't know, he's just not any buck. Walden has been around since the early 90's! He has quite the pedigree, in my opinion.

I tend not to comment on a purely observational stance on my own work, but in this case you can read my thoughts, if you're interested...
This picture was very meaningful for me, being a furry fan and animal for many years, this is one of the animals that I looked up to very much!
Getting to meet him, and take pictures with both of us together, was a very happy and positive experience, that improved my outlook on many things.
I imagine it must be quite interesting for something created in 1990 to come to meet the face of it's counterpart from the modern era!
I think the framing here really ended up perfect, I think the contrasts in the scene all worked together by fate to create something emotional.
The difference in my pose and his, where he sits vertical and politely, while I'm horizontal draping my legs over his lap!
His bright and charming eyes meeting my heavily shadowed and narrow ones. His smile and my pensive expression, his cute bow and my sturdy halter.
Even his colors and mine seem so different, a natural brown and a bright honey, a naturalist take versus one of vanity...
Though we are different in countless ways, there is something that has united us here anyways n.n

Thank you n.n And yes Walden is around and very much healthy and sweet, he is seen around California cons frequently! Yippee, his caretaker is very admirable in their work helping him show up at so many places >w<
