Charlotte is from Camphrier Town in the Kalos region. Her parents are berry farmers, and she was allowed to go on a Pokémon Journey with the goal of learning more about how berries grow in different places and how Pokémon prefer their berries.

Charlotte chose Froakie as her first Pokémon partner, and has been best friends with her Froakie ever since. She named it Gren, and Gren is now a Greninja.
