They can grow up to the size of a greyhound but are usually the size of a small cat. The small arms on their mid section are for carrying food, eggs, and young. Their body is aerodynamic built for fast speeds to run from predators.
They are blind but like cave fish have a bulge where the eye would be. They have pads on their back feet and mid section like a gecko's so they can traverse the slick cave walls with ease. Their hooves on the front legs are sharp enough to dig through soft metals and rock. They are toothless and feed on fungi and cave molds with the occasional fish or two if it's small enough. The stinger on its tail is mostly for self defense but is also barbed like a fish hook. Like a skink the tail can detach and grow back. Their bones are almost stretchy in nature like a rat they can collapse their skeletons to get through small spaces. Their sensory antennae catch vibrations in the air or water to detect movement of a predator and their large nostrils are able to sense far beyond a human. They're almost extinct because of hunting for their poison glands and meat.
