This photo was taken on March 26th, 2011 at the 21st FurNow meet in San Diego, CA.
This was also the very LAST FurNow meet. Do to financial reasons the furs in charge of the group could not afford to pay for the expenses of having a location to meet up at. After about 90 or so people, you supposedly need to pay $400 (or more) for a permit to have a large group to meet a the park.

Michael and I had to pay more then $500 for 1 meet. You have to buy a permit to have more then .. 50 people i believe.. .. and we generally had 70-100 appear at random. That is a substantial amount of money to do on a monthly basis. We received $27 in donations.. We are not rich.. That is why we canceled. No supposedly about it. Unless EVERYONE wanted to pay like.. $10-20 a month..as well as bring food for the potluck (not going to happen) we wouldn't be able to host it. Plus legally with the numbers that showed up we would need to buy health coverage. If someone had hurt themselves during the event it would have been on us. So yes, fur now ended on financial reasons. Sorry if it was an inconvenience on anyone but we are not rich. And not NEAR enough people donated. We had like 2-3 people donate $5-10 and the rest $1-2. $27 in donations doesn't cover $500 in legality.
