An awesome first look at the anthro form of my updated woodland dragon Abalus, by Levo (Essence_Of_Rapture)!
A few months back, Isvoc created a "monsterized" form of my woodland dragon named Abalus... that stunning art piece can be viewed here! What originally started off as a one-off art piece has morphed into a design update for Abalus. I'm still pondering if it's a full on update, or perhaps another form for him (perhaps he's simply gotten older, and a whole lot bigger over time). Either way, I wanted to have an anthro form for him that represented this new look. Cue a Levo commission opening, late last year... and here's the awesome result. Abalus looks quite the beast; he's huge! Can definitely see the bear inspiration here: sharp claws, large paws, and powerfully muscled. He's a tank. Yet, his friendly demeanor has been preserved to me - he might be big, but he comes across a bit like a gentle giant. Still, wouldn't trifle with him - think he could probably send you to the afterlife with a swipe of a single claw. :)
