These are the things, Things that I like~
I've seen a couple different approaches to this today. I went about this by gathering images that I can "relate" to that are not necessarily pleasant to look at. I've been collecting images that stand out to me for a year now and I recommend every artist to do so if you have the space for it.
Maybe a fourth of these I collected because they remind me of home, foggier images from my childhood (pine trees, woodcut images).
Some images I selected because I associate them with a frequent feeling or a specific memory.
Then some of the images I included because decorative anatomy is insane. One day I will learn how to talk and describe it my feelings about it.
I gathered a lot of these images from 50watts.com. A lot of the illustrations collected there feels like someone extracted them right out of my unconscious mind. It's craycray.
If I felt like Tom Waits every day I would have cool problems.

oh my god it does look like heavenly goatse. it's an xray of a stringray actually :3
