At first, I thought of the Minotaur, from Greek Legend/Myth (appropriate, considering the Title).
Then, I got a flash of a character from the 'Krynn' series of books. His Name was 'Kaz', and he fought beside Huma in the War of the Lance. Though Minotaurs were/are, a very brutal and warrior-like Race in that Realm, 'Kaz' distinguished himself by fighting against chaos, and was instrumental in keeping the 'Balance' of the Gods (Good, Neutrality, Evil), in check, so that the world might survive...
