My beloved cat, Sonnenlicht, passed into the afterlife last night. I've had her since she was five weeks old, and known her since before she was born. She was my soulcat, if such a thing exists. I miss her dearly.

Thanks. The night we had to rush to the vet for that emergency visit, the moon was bright and full, lighting our way. On the way home, holding the wrapped bundle in my arms, the moon was clouded over, the night dark. It was as if nature mourned with me in that moment.
