Emerald is the eldest of the Beryl siblings, and the caretaker of the bunch. He is a crystalline spirit who was born in 1998 from an emerald stone found deep within the earth in an anomalous beryl vein. Emerald chooses to assume the physical form of a male culpeo to go about his life. Connected to the heart chakra, those around Emerald will feel a sense of love, emotional balance, and compassion. Being the guardian of his siblings, Emerald is always making sure his siblings are all raised right, in good living conditions, and safe from harm’s way.

Lapidary is one of Emerald’s strongest hobbies, along with jewelry making; He made the circlets that he and his siblings all wear, and signed them all with a small emerald on the inside of the bands. Each circlet was made out of beryl that each respective sibling created, and cut to the desired shape. Some other noteworthy hobbies of Emerald’s include archery and cooking; He tends to serve meals for his family.

While Emerald is very valuable, he is much more humble than Bixbite, and chooses to help his less valuable siblings shine their brightest instead of bragging about his own worth. One of his biggest weaknesses however is his emotional instability. Being one of the two most brittle types of beryl, Emerald will very quickly crack under pressure, and emotionally spiral; He has a smaller capacity to keep persevering through hardships, and snaps internally much faster than others.

Emerald guards his little siblings with his life, and will always make sure to keep them all safe and happy, no matter how stressful of a job it may be, because he loves them all dearly.
