Hey y'all,
They said, it was over. We'd won, or else the Soviets would have paratroopers here. We'd been ass deep in crazies, gangers, even other Guard units doing crazy stuff. And to minimize the danger we should stick with the unit, try and setup as security for one of the new rebuilding groups, or the FEMA/Red Cross camps. Start again.
I don't want to start again. Said I was going home.
They said it was nuts, that the whole place was gone. No one was there.
Whatever. I said, I'd told them 'When it's done, I'll be back.'
They said, I was going nowhere, for nobody. To a dead place, of dead people.
Well, dammit, I'm here.
