Hehe, yeah, I'm really a Slytherin fan PURELY because I love snakes and scales. You can't beat that in my eyes.
Though in the game that was made, the entrance to the Slytherin common room was PERFECT. Literally some of the best brainstorming went into making them cool.
Sure, some don't like their common room overall, but the entrance overcame whatever was lacking to me.
