This was an absolutely gorgeous piece that I'm so happy to have. I was in band from middle school through college, and during high school I was a drum major for three years. In fact, that's what inspired my sona to have white paws; it's the marching gloves! My experience as a conductor was something I'll always treasure, and it's amazing to see me in that position again.

I actually had October by Eric Whitacre in mind as the piece being conducted, it was one of my favorites to play in the band.
