Kupi was, like his parents before him, born and raised in the region of Paldea, and had dreams ever since he were a small child to one day own and have his own cafe to sell coffee and tea. A childhood friend to Vuis and Lorea, the trio grew up together and graduated together at the Uva Academy in Mesagoza City. Unfortunately, due to his own inability to learn or difficulty of such, Kupi doesn't speak English, and only speaks Spanish, whereas Lorea and Vuis are bilingual. This makes communicating with non-Paldean residents a bit difficult for Kupi, as he often needs someone to act as a translator nearby.
Kupi's cafe is set up in Montenevera City, where Jalid's agency, Snowbound Industries, is located. This naturally led to a good partnership and friendship between Kupi and Jalid, as many of Jalid's employees would often go to Kupi's cafe during break or after work hours. Plus, it helps that Kupi is good friends with Vuis, whom was specifically trained by Jalid shortly after his graduation from the Uva Academy.
Although Kupi can be a bit aloof and quirky in nature at times, he has a generous and big, friendly heart. He loves to give out hugs.

Additional Information
-Kupi is bisexual, but with a female preference.
-Kupi developed a huge crush on Nyansa, falling head-over-heels for the Delphox woman when she first visited his cafe. The two later developed a genuine relationship, even though he doesn't speak English or French, and Nyansa doesn't speak Spanish. He's vowed to 'try harder' to learn either English or French.
