This is a follow up to the little sketch I drew up featuring "Pete's Hot Spot" where all the patrons were dressed in heat resistant suits. This image kind of "Fell out of the pencil" as I tried to wrap my brain around the comic idea I've been percolating on with concerning these characters for some time.

Describing this dancer as "Hot" would be a bit redundant...
All the scene needs is some meat on hooks for Lady Fatima Acetylene to cook while she's showing off - this is where Pete's Pittsburgh Rare steaks come from.
Song list:
"B-b-b-burnin' up with love", Eddie Rabbitt
"Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire", Little Richard
"Steam", Peter Gabriel
"Ring of Fire", Johnny Cash
"Hot Stuff", Donna Summer
"Fire", Pointer Sisters
I like the way you think. It's a real shame these times are so unpredictable that opening a restaurant or strip club with a Steel Mill theme would just not be practical. Still, I appreciate your humor and ideas for a mythical menu for "Pete's Hot Spot" if it could exist. I've been intrigued with some of the responses I've gotten from fellow FA members about the idea of a strip joint where patrons are required to wear flameproof outer wear as the added anomonimity would give the establishment a sense of "Adventuresome dining" which adds to the place's draw power. (I imagine keepimg the place clean and in good repair might also be a challenge as well.)
Thanks for the kind words and clever ideas,
Thanks for the kind words and clever ideas,
I keep running away with it because a) it's silly, and b) it's FUN! Several Wiki Walks led to inspiration.
Now I wonder if anyone really has done a restaurant with a heavy industry theme/decor...
There was a bar somewhere that specialized in frozen drinks. To keep the drinks from melting, the ENTIRE SERVING AREA was kept near 32F (0C.) Parkas were available at the door. Not sure if the place is still in business now; the electric bill must have been absurd.

Actually my inspiration stemmed more from the "Industrail" decor that graces the Fry's Electronics store in the City of Industry, California. It's not everyplace where one can get their electronics serviced in the windings of a huge, fiberglass dynamo, or get a snack in an air pump shack.
