i'll explain what a betta keeper is: Betta are a type of fish native to Southeast Asia. They're also known as Siamese Fighting Fish, as they are territorial and prone to fighting each other. i copy-pasted this from an article lol.

when it comes to freddie's creation, firstly i wanted to have more female OCs. however, i also had the idea of suvi having a sister (younger or older, i didn't care) who had all but cut ties with him. think blitzo and barbie wire, if you've seen helluva boss.

however, unlike helluva boss, suvi didn't blow up their home or anything. freddie just kind of shut everyone out, hardly leaving her home with only her fish for company. her friendships are all online, and she can't handle seeing people in person. it gives her serious anxiety. there's also the fact she has a bad attitude that really annoys people

however, she has a very vindictive streak. if she feels she's been slighted in any way, she strikes back. she's taken revenge on teachers, classmates, neighbours, exes, internet trolls, and even her own family on a few occasions. these ways of getting even are usually pretty harmless, but there's been a few times she's crossed the line.

also, she's transgender! i just don't get a lot of transgender characters that make me feel represented, so i had to make them myself ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶
