Dravad is associated with a lot of different things, but to one fluffball he represents nothing but unconditional love and safety

Quick sketch thingie. I wanted to try illustrating him being a father figure. His village found an orphaned jotun hatchling and brought it to him hoping he’d be able to help raise it. As children they are wholly dependent on their parent for decades. Jotun are very anxious and frail in their youth and their esteem and sense of security rests heavily on having their own personal Giant Monster that sorts their issues out until they can fend for themselves. Thankfully he took on the task and now the hatchling feels safe again despite a rough start.

For practical reasons he has joint custody with the village. He mainly just socialises, teaches, hangs out with the thing and makes sure to be a good jotun role model. they’re very happy with their strange family and he absolutely adores the hatchling with all his heart.
