:Biography:
Lucy is the adoptive daughter of, Mrs. Maple. She was taken in by the Daycare owner at the later parts of past year when a terrible snow storm caused the daycare to close down, and Mrs. Maple went to an old orphanage she used to work at, and decided to adopt a child of her own, wishing for some company after the loss of her husband decades ago.
Lucy was one of the few surviving children from a recent attack on her tribe and village by a private military, it all started when the village had protested against the construction of a digital currency farm, which the Dactyl Trading Corporation, who wanted to use its nearby river as a source of water for said building, wanted to assemble. Despite local support and being denied multiple times, the DTC would proceed with their construction plans anyway ignoring orders. Which lead to the villagers to continue protesting at the site, and when they weren't heard, they would sabotage the construction effort in hopes of forcing them to stop and leave.
The DTC however got tired of the tribe's efforts and launched an attack against the village to silence them for good, Lucy's mother, one of the main individuals leading the protests attempted to escape with her daughter during the attack, unfortunately, she was knocked out of the sky by a large Azhdarchid where she crashed back down to earth, managing to save and comfort her daughter one last time before passing away.
Lucy was eventually found after the attack, where she was taken to an orphanage where she hasn't had a very good life since, knowing what its like to lose a loved one in conflict, Mrs. Maple decided to adopt the Tupandactylus and hopefully give her the much better life she needed.
After moving in with Mrs. Maple and being given her own room, Lucy joins the other kids when the current year of kindergarten started! While happy to see a new kid at first, many kids quickly realized just how 'off' she often felt. Despite being the eldest child at daycare, Lucy struggled the hardest in class, not only is she not familiar with the Alphabet, but she often gets weird looks for not being able to write or spell her name, read out even some of the simplest of words, and doesn't seem to have a very good understanding of what numbers and counting are. Things that would be common knowledge for any child of her age, let alone a kid older than everyone else... Turns out, Lucy never really received much of an education when she was younger, or if she did, she was taught so in a different language, as english certainly wasn't her first.
Sadly, no one at the daycare is particularly fluent at speaking her original language, which meant that a lot of her old knowledge didn't translate very well over. Lucy can speak english, and knows it well enough to speak in sentences. And the orphanage she stayed at tried teaching her to speak it more, but may not have gotten as in-depth as they did.
Kids would often laugh and mock her for not pronouncing something right, not knowing what a very simple word meant, or struggling with the most basic of maths, calling her stupid, or an idiot for not understanding what they did. Seeing everything around her, Lucy felt incredibly hurt at all the strange looks and mockery she would receive and would often feel deeply upset about attending daycare, it felt like the orphanage and how much she would be bullied back then, just when she thought it was all over, it just returned... it would often end with her running back up to her room upstairs in shame.
After hearing about her situation, an Amargasaurus named Ellie was more than happy to help out our hero! Loving to teach others, she would give Lucy tutoring lessons in private at her home where most of the other kids will not judge her for her lack of knowledge, starting from the very beginning with the alphabet, basic counting, and even how to read and write! While Lucy finds all this to be rather embarrassing, the fact that a kid one year younger than here was the one teaching her with what may as well be materials intended for toddlers, she very much enjoyed her time with Ellie! As her teaching sessions were often fun and interesting, no matter how simple something looked, Lucy took note of everything she learnt to heart, and ended up getting better and better at class from their time together! Not to mention, Ellie also served as a great friend Lucy could talk to, and the two would often share their personal feelings towards each other, to the point where they may have developed a crush on each other!
Unfortunately Lucy still hasn't recovered from the trauma of witnessing her mother's death... She still clings on incredibly hard to any recollection or memory of her mother, and refuses to move past her loss. She also has several nightmares frequently which often start out pleasant with her and her mother reunited, only to end with her dying at the very end, sometimes Lucy may even get caught in the crossfire and end up dying in her dreams as well, which do often wake her up in cold sweat, along with the realization that she's wet the bed.
Lucy also has a strong emotional reaction to the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", as she was given the nickname "Little Star" by her mother from the star pattern under her eyes, and was a lullaby she would often sing to her daughter when she was still alive. It was also the last thing Lucy ever heard from her mother while she was being cradled in her dying arms. Ellie found out about this when she played the ABC song to Lucy on her piano to teach her about the alphabet, which unfortunately uses the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, by the time she was done playing, Ellie found Lucy sobbing heavily, and it took quite a while to help her friend calm down. While Mrs. Maple is doing whatever she can to help her daughter, it seems that Lucy is much more open to speaking with Ellie more, than with her adoptive parent. Lucy loves Mrs. Maple a lot, but views her more as her guardian, one not related by blood, and with how hard Lucy doesn't want to let go of her past, refuses to use any maternal term like "Adoptive mother" to describe her, in fear that she'll lose any connection with her real mother.
Due to her past, Lucy has a very strong stance against prejudice or injustice, she refuses to let those with power hurt others who can't protect themselves, and will often fly to their aid and protect them in the face of danger! She remains as the strongest individual member of the Dinosquad, being a mixture of agile, strong and tough, and atop of all that, being able to fly! She truly is a sight to behold!
:Interests:
Ever since she moved in with Mrs. Maple, Lucy appears to have taken an interest in superheroes! Perhaps she sees herself as one, and is willing to take on any bully or wrongdoer in daycare, and make sure they don't go unpunished for their awful actions! She especially enjoys comic books and movies involving them, there's always something to love about heroes doing good things and saving others!
Lucy also enjoys spending plenty of time with Mrs. Maple herself! Whether it's baking or cooking together, joining her for a trip at the market, or helping her out at the daycare's garden, it's always nice and calming to help out those in other ways too!
Lucy also spends plenty of time with Ellie, joining her at her home where she can learn together with her, or play games with each other! Sometimes Ellie will instead come over to the daycare herself on the weekends, where the two kids can have access to most of the place for themselves!
:Notes:
I guess the only things I have to say, is that back view with the folded up wings was one of the most complex things I've drawn, to the point where I had to cut out the shape of her wings on a piece of paper and fold it to get an idea of how it works.
As for what I meant by magnets... I'd like to think clothes made for Pterosaurs in this universe have slots cut out so their wings could fit, and then flexible magnets kinda snap them back in place, although probably done in a way that doesn't feel uncomfortable one bit. It's basically my way of saying, don't think about it too hard, otherwise their outfits would look REALLY ugly...
Oh yeah, Happy New Years!

Wow Yip, you're on a roll!! As for the magnets solution, I coincidentally had been thinking the same thing for Pterosaur clothes in this universe! Sort of like the magnets you might find in some modern baby sleepers, but stronger. This idea could also work for dinos with sails on their backs, etc!
Oh yes, I know- I wasn't referring to zipper teeth either. I was thinking it would function like one of these, where the magnets fasten and the wing is between the fastened magnets: https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Pajamas-Closure-Viscose-spandex/dp/B0D9FWBMGY/ref=sr_1_25?crid=21WX3PK0EALYS&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.b8xI9BVEPATsCPl_EueOSJYZ8kUMpjXucFtDnqoqfmgIuzy_-f3x1ghS-eqrGzbmOu0sdqPZ_YllkA-Ea3ldUqDYBO0TTF20azwKfoKl9SZoaA7Bj4yk2tF-JhiM7KWadLSLGLFDjQfxLwjzhIyStB8xiS7L2_BrGjvqTJzllhO2-U28G0sviX77The8TVtHHWRYqvliQYdTgUsVB3frfZkxIOAM7zRmatzjYbMFzLrQnMqOekBIlkT72sxhiexNDdRUXxcR5RwdorWFKKgQhrpoPw3jZft0WvTkO4iYcnw.kYLWtWjvorZ01ymJUd59fn6t-clrtgd4Y7uVlaTKa_w&dib_tag=se&keywords=baby%2Bsleepers%2Bmagnetic&qid=1767299547&sprefix=%2Caps%2C157&sr=8-25&th=1&psc=1
