‘Oh, wow, that was a really pretty one, wasn’t it?’

“Among the holidays is New Years, which is usually celebrated with colorful explosions set off in the sky called ‘fire-works’, but they are a rare thing to see on the islands.
This year though, Hula Girl invited us all to Coconut Island to celebrate, they do lots of stuff for New Years in the Tourist areas. We had a great time with our friends and after lots of food and drinks and festivities and fun the fireworks started.
While Lucia and Hula Girl danced, and everyone else was having their own fun, me and Ozzy went off to a quiet spot on the beach to sit and watch the fireworks, he had never seen them either. Oh, the lights and the colors and the patterns, it was amazing to see.”

What better way to start the year than with some fireworks, and in this great picture from Usagi we get to see Ember and Ozzy experiencing them for the first time. ^^
This picture turned out beautifully, and really captures the feel of the moment perfectly. The quiet beach looks like the perfect spot for them, and the fireworks in the sky look great, I love the colors and the burst patterns and the overall lighting effect, really gives a fireworks look to them. Ember looks great in her holiday outfit, and I love how excited she looks, one hand on Ozzy as she points to what must be a particularly nice firework that caught her eye, clearly, she is really enjoying the show. I adore how Ozzy looks, happily sitting there in his festive holiday scarf, watching, tail tip wagging, but the look in his eye, the way the light from the fireworks is reflecting off of it, really adds that sense of wonder and awe, like a little kid seeing fireworks for the first time. I had really hoped Usagi would capture that look with Ozzy, and he did not disappoint, it looks perfect, and adds so much to the picture overall. This whole picture really depicts the experience and the wonder of it all so well. I hope your New Years was as great a time as Ember and Ozzy are having for theirs. ^_^
