So, for the past few years, I've had months long ruts in drawing... y'know, feelings of physical nausea looking at the tablet sitting on my desk unplugged. Times where I'd open up Clip Studio and just stare at a blank canvas for hours on end, only to give up and leave it alone for a long time.

I see people grow in their skills, post their stuff, do their year end summaries. I see videos about the creative process, and the way that generative image software has changed the landscape, and...

In defiance, I will create.


The rules of The 52 are simple:

1.) one picture a week in some shape or form, to be submitted by that Friday, 11:59 PM CST US. delays in actual upload is acceptable as long as the piece is saved and done by then.
2.) If I miss a week, the project is over.
3.) no prior prep or repurposing of other projects. This has to be something that creatively comes from me the week it's made for.
4.) The form it is submitted as will be what stays a part of the project. I have the right to come back to a piece and edit/complete it if I feel like it.
5.) Effort must be made to make sure if I do a NSFW project for the 52 that there is a SFW version of it that can be uploaded to SFW socials.



Week 1: Blizzard

I nearly slipped on my ass in the snow taking the garbage out, but also forgot the beauty of how nice it is being out in that cold, feeling the gentle caress of those frozen flakes falling on your nose as it sticks out from the rest of your thick winter getup. the way it bows and kicks when it's the dry, fluffy sort.
