One for the road for 2025, some ideas I've been making iterations of and finally found some success with. Incidentally the parks in mind are Killbear (so many loons), Humber Bay Park (any of the parks along the Humber River, really), and Bruce Peninsula National Park (the highest poison ivy density I've ever seen).
Stelloona, the constellation pokemon
Stelloona is a medium-sized water-and-psychic type pokemon from the lakes of northern Ronto. Far from the big cities, the haunting calls of stelloona echo through the night. Their wings reflect the night sky, which seems to be connected to their powers of precognition and ability to contact spirits and other strange entities. Like cramorant these pokemon are clumsy on land and mainly stay in the middle of their lakes, away from predators and other distractions from their stargazing.
Humberd, the hover pokemon
Humberd is a very small electric-and-flying type pokemon from the Ronto Region. These tiny fliers generate static from their wingbeats and use it to collect nectar extremely quickly, and can also use it for self-defense. Although many nectar-loving pokemon are much larger than humberd, the telltale hum of its wings drives them away - even combee and beedrill won't risk a fight with humberd, which is all too happy to shock them into submission to get at any flowers nearby. The comparatively harmless humimic looks just enough like it that it can fool other bugs - it doesn't fool humberd though, which will chase the impostor away when their paths cross.
Gremlich, the poison ivy pokemon
Gremlich is a small grass-and-poison type pokemon ffrom rural and wild areas of the Ronto Region. These mischievous creatures secrete an oil from their fur that they rub all over themselves, which keeps their leaves from drying out in the sun but also causes unbearable itchiness on contact. Knowing full-well how this affects both humans and pokemon, these little devils run through the forest, looking for targets to give "the itch" to - kids wearing shorts (because they're comfy and easy to wear) are a favourite target. Pokemon with thick fur, hard scales, and especially Steel-types, are generally left alone, so trainers traveling through gremlich patches are advised to keep one at-hand to scare them off. A salve made of wedweejel berries can cure the itchiness, as can a trip to the pokemon center.
