Witness the delicate dance that is predatory and prey. The lowly cupcake is drinking at the local watering hole where it usually frequents when thirsty. But there in the tall grass right behind it we see the cupcakes natural predatory the Snackasaurus Rex Hungry for it's next meal! Lets Watch!....Oh god the Horror of it all!!
First there's the sound of rustling, then two minute forepaws push the grass aside - with a snort, the Rex shows its head only to be spotted by the cupcake with a MGS attention sound :>

We could always rule that the cupcakes were bait from those automatic wildlife camera units, settled upon due to their appeal to a wide range of species and long shelf life under less-than-optimal conditions. That's what I've always thought. And the fact that researchers from the North American Union who left cameras in the Tyran Region couldn't digest them was probably also an inflential factor. *cue the National Geographic chase type music, then some random British sounding lady who says something along the lines of "although the scene is gruesome, it is all a part of the cupcake's risk of standing out in the open to get nom'ed upon by the huge lizard with a sweet tooth*
One of these days, you should make a drawing which involves a cupcake eating a T.rex, even if only in a dream.
I envision it...a tyrannosaurus pouncing at a cupcake...and in the next frame...giant cupcake and a T.rex skeleton...nah, too gruesome.
Maybe one of a sleeping rexy, having a bad dream where he's assaulted by a giant cupcake with big pointy teeth...or hundreds of small ones, being swarmed by them.
