Here we are again! This year presented me with a lot of ups and downs - trying to find my stride post college, turn this from a paying hobby into a legitimate job - And I believe I'm getting there
I topped last years rough count of 60 drawings with around 75 this time, including several comics which you might count as several - though I went by page. This also does not include the many traditional sketches I've done planning future character designs, which I've declined to post for now~
I built not only a Patreon, but a discord community, and a website - real infrastructures to build something larger around - and they have seen early success which is very promising!
This year I also made some of my most touching, action-packed and intimate scenes to date - perhaps my favorite being the wedding piece I was asked to do in June! Alongside that came one of my most diverse years of creature design - At Last Proving I can draw MORE than just FISH - Dragons and Centaurs, Driders and Genies, Oh my!
While I wasn't able to Totally start my comics yet, It's never been closer - with a cover, a story outline, and a working script and sketches; I'm cautiously optimistic for their future, and I feel I've finally grown to the place I aspired when I put their development on hiatus around 2020.
My new years resolution is to invest more time into projects of my own - to take the leap and show what's at the core of my creativity to the world, as messy as first steps are. I hope anyone reading will do the same - get busy living or get busy dyin'!
Happy New Year, Freelancers - See ya on the next lap!
