Just before the year's end, I finished off the last major completion objective in Mario Kart World: 3 stars on all Grand Prix cups and Knockout Tours (fittingly saving the Mirror Special Cup for last)! There's still a small handful of collectibles left, plus a single NPC left to unlock, but the game is now largely complete! Time to commemorate the occasion with a fun TF sequence (ironically featuring the lone NPC that I unlocked via UFO instead of Kamek's transformation magic...)!

Racing across the world in my beloved Biddybuggy, I heard a familiar mischievous cackle approaching my location... Looking overhead, sure enough, I witnessed Kamek zooming overhead, sprinkling its magic all over the route. It rained down all over me, brought about a quick sneeze as magical dust caressed my nose, and I promptly felt my face start to tingle, before... CRACK! My eyes jolted upward, becoming more vertically-oriented as they sprang upward from their seats in my skull! After a split-second of blurry vision, I regained my composure and felt my next TF tingles propagating in my arms... Looking downward with my expanded eyesight, I noticed my fingers retreating into my hands, and my arms following suit back into my shoulders, all while my torso slowly expanded. At this, I put the pieces together, and knew that Kamek's magic was turning me into a lovely Conkdor!

Predicting what would change next, I braced for a second sudden shift in perspective, excitedly steadying myself as best I could with no arms. Right on cue, my neck jolted upward, becoming long and much more freely bendable! I looked down upon it as best I could, waving my head all around, not even noticing that the TF tingles had returned to my face... BWAK! A sudden jolt from my mouth sprang a beak forward, catching me off-guard. That sudden snap back to reality drew my attention away from my new neck length and lack of arms, and reminded me of a much more pressing issue: I was still sitting in a speeding Biddybuggy!!

I instinctually tried reaching for the steering wheel with my arms, experienced a lightning-quick bout of phantom limb syndrome, and improvised by putting one of my new bird feet to work. As expected, it was quite a bit more difficult to handle a moving vehicle with a foot than a hand... Lots of wild swerving later, I got a reasonable grip on how to keep myself moving straight. But the actual end of the race, the Faraway Oasis track, was rapidly approaching. A fitting location for one like myself who's shaped like a wild shelled bird, but a tough track to navigate via foot-control. Something tells me I need to turn on Smart Steering ASAP...
