Well, there comes a time when we all have to respect the original code dudes.
We all remember it, don't we? If you do, try and find it in this picture. Go on, I dare ya.
Vinzin of JACK made this excellent FG 8-bit commission picture, so respec'.
(Contra first began in the arcades in 1987 before being ported to NES in 1989, widely remembered for its two-player system which for its time was uncommon, the ability to aim in several directions, and the Konami Code, however it was not the first game to feature the Code. Gradius was the first.)

Well technically in 1981 when Mario and pacman came out was the first time they used the code. my personal favorite time to use it however. *Story Time* We went to the local pizza place and they had a single game of Ms. Pac Man, so I popped in a quarter and put in up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, One player button, Two player button. This activates the first Pac Man play on a Ms. Pac Man machine. Man I got really wierd looks from just about everyone when I started playing ;)
