A rendition of a one off character by my friend Josh, alias 
senedjem . There was this unfurling plot about a Quaker widower who late in life realized he's gay. He began having strong feelings for another man in the town who's been helping him after the funeral, and the man reciprocated those feelings too. The societal expectations of the town weigh on him, being someone of high social reputation and a figurehead of many of the institutions within the town.
This is the portrait I felt I really grabbed ahold of Rembrandt's techniques best. The drawing could be better, but it felt so satisfying making FireAlpaca do all these painterly effects. Bending it to my will, forcing it do things that I haven't seen other do with it.
