After the crowd was shooed by another priest, Shadow was shown to his temporary quarters for his stay. There were already cases to present to him for consideration. The church wasn’t wasting any time to take advantage of his presence here.
This was the norm for the first few days of his visit and everyone was a busy with retelling various stories they had heard of the exorcist and the terrible demons he alone could save people possessed by.
Maria would listen as worked, sharing some of her favorite tales she had heard herself. Talking about all the great deeds he’s done with his work and people saved. She admired him and was happy to see the legend himself at work here. She’d only seen him a few times, usually when he was returning from some case. And was as eager as the others to hear first hand about his latest victory. He was always happy to appease the group that surrounded him in his return and always kept a regal presence. Maria couldn’t help admiring him, for his work as well as his handsome appearance.
