The Ki'Ctur are one of many space-faring races to be found traveling between the stars. This innovative and intelligent people first crossed the Federation of Allied Systems when they refused status as an integrated planet of the alliance, preferring to maintain complete governmental autonomy. Although there have been no sanctions aginst them, and Ki'Cturian goods are sold across the allied worlds, their government is frequently under suspicion of harboring many a wanted space pirate.

Though proud and independant, the typical Ki'Cturian is peaceful and inquisitive. The home planet of this species is a largely aquatic world with a scattered system of islands and atolls upon which the half-submerged cities of the Ki'Ctur have risen.

Amphibian in nature, these massive aliens appear to have evolved from one of the plethora of crustacean species native to their planet. Though able to spend long periods (up to approximately three days) out of water, a Ki'Cturian prefers to spend it's sleep period submerged.

Naturally given to spatial thinking, the Ki'Ctur are known for their great architectural and sculptural artisanship and are prized as skilled navigators aboard many a ship. Aboard a space pirate vessal, their prowess is priceless. Any privateer crew counting a Ki'Ctur among them is counted as worthy of respect amongst others of their profession.
