Digital art of Karkat and Eridan for the Redrom edition of the Quadrants Zine. Eridan has convinced Karkat to do some drag, and is working on his makeup touchups while Karkat plays on his phone. Originally he was going to be adding breast contouring, but now with the outfit I decided on he's instead adding sparkle to the central heart on Karkar's top.
I went with a large KK, smol Eri HC, reflecting the way that I propose that troll growth rates work. Though they are the same age in sweeps, Eridan as a seadweller has yet to hit a growth spurt, still looking in his mid to late teens, fake breasts aside. Karkat, meanwhile, is looking well into middle age and absolutely dwarfs his matesprit in size and stature.
It as interesting coming up with the outfits.
I ended up doing a bronze armour and bleeding hearts theme for Karkat, with metal tips on his braids and a pearl necklace made bloody with dripping rubies.
