Tree hollow basements are the worst roots everywhere. Most of the walls are just dirt with heavy stones embedded in them to keep the packed soil foundation stable
At least Sidney and Patty had found out a long time ago that basements like these are almost soundproof and is one of the few places where they can be as loud as they want without disturbing any of Sidney's many siblings above the old willows hollow trunk.
I just find it fascinating that most walking, talking animals in this world live in trees. I wonder what kind of special tree they breed that can withstand both the elements and the loud bunches that dwell within regurlary
