Isel the Starry-Nosed Reindeer Dragon
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows
And then one foggy Christmas Eve
Solyr came to say
"Isel, with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

So this idea started randomly in my mind, and I joked about it with a friend, and… one thing led to another, and here we are! I mean… it fits, doesn’t it? Rudolph lights the way with his nose, and Isel did the same with her stars. Hence we have… a starry nose, for her to light the way for a very jolly Solyr’s sleigh!
I swear, poor Isel is always at the front of my humor (usually at her own expense lmao). She’s totally a Scrooge lmao, she does not want to hear your Christmas carols!
I’m so happy Sun joined in on my dumb idea and added his own because, gosh, it fits so well. I’d personally love to be gifted a present by Solyr Claus tbh. Granted, I have… a sneaking suspicion he’d genuinely think coal is an acceptable snack gift to leave for people lmao.
I loooooveee how this piece turned out! I don’t think I’ve really been one for holiday art before afaik, but I adore how this turned out and I’m so happy to have a friend indulge in it with me! Ritikin did such an amazing job (as she always does with all her pieces tbh) conveying the total difference in expression from the both, from the grouchy Isel to the merry Solyr! It fits them far, far too well!
Nonetheless, though, I truly hope everyone has an amazing and happy holidays and, if you celebrate, a Merry Christmas! 🩵
