Two monstrous Nithrak were about to battle. The red wyrm was Skyblade. The blue turtle was WaterLord. They both had top ranked scores and were akin to Nithrak celebrities. Lyraz just happened to be in the right place at the right time to watch their battle and he wasn't going to miss it. It didn't matter if they were hungry after the battle, it didn't matter if there were other predators lurking around. If one of those eventualities happened Lyraz would deal with it. Lyraz had to view this battle for the audience waiting in the hive mind. Thousands of people were watching, millions would later watch the recorded memory. Raptor thought Lyraz's obsession with celebrity chasing was silly. Still, it answered why Lyraz was sitting up on this platform.
Nithraks are able to transmit what they see through the hive mind (assuming they're connected at the time). They can also upload memories to the hive's shared memory. Sort of like like uploading video to Youtube, but the camera is your eyes. As for what I mean by 'top ranking scores', you'll find that out tomorrow.
