• Biography: Talya is one of the many ½ Mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being born a day after Valentina was born, making her part of the 3rd line of ½ Mermaids born into the family. Growing up, Talya had the dream of wanting to help the sick & weak while also intent on wanting to be a hero like her father is. When her sisters Brigantia & Lage opted to become Combat Medics, Talya decided to follow that path as well. She studied medicine alongside Lage & Brigantia, and the sisters shared their knowledge between each other as the days went by. However, Talya & Lage both discovered that Brigantia also picked up knowledge on healing magic so that she could heal others with magic in addition to medicines. Despite this, Talya & Lage did not hold it against Brigantia, even though Talya & Lage chose not to pursue magic. Nevertheless, once the three had gotten the studies of medicine down, it was time for combat training. Talya actually proved to be a good study in learning how to defend herself in battle, and while she was good with the arm cannon that came with her Medic Suit, Talya showcased a talent with dual wielding beam swords. Needless to say, Talya soon became strong enough to make her dream a reality as she now helps to heal the sick and protect the peace of the Metroid universe, and her home of Olympus as well when needed. As is to be expected from those in Juni’s family, Talya is a very friendly girl, inheriting only the best traits from her parents. A playful & sweet soul, Talya displays this side of her unfailingly when around her friends & family. Especially if her kid siblings are present. However, she has proven herself to be a big tease from time to time. She enjoys her work with medical science, always hoping to make a new medical breakthrough of some type. But like her other sisters who’ve taken up medicine either as a medic, or even an apothecary, she has a huge distaste for quacks, and those who reject medical science. Like a handful of her sisters, Talya is a proven absolute mudlark, and she will not hesitate to throw herself into a quicksand pit the moment she spots one. She also gets excited when signs of quicksand are discovered in the area she is exploring. In fact, Talya is more than willing to jump into clay just so she can get her hands on its medical properties. The most skilled vaccine crafter.
• Abilities: Being ½ Mermaid, Talya is capable of transforming into her mermaid form the moment she enters the water. As a mermaid, like all her other ½ mermaid siblings, she has excellent swimming speed, can breathe underwater without the need to surface for air; though she & her other sisters form gills to help with this, too, and she can commune with aquatic creatures of any kind. However, she primarily transforms while in fresh, or seawater. And like her mother & siblings, Talya strongly prefers the water to be clean before she thinks about transforming. Talya starts the party as a Combat Medic. Like her sisters Brigantia & Lage, Talya has the responsibility of keeping her allies healthy, providing medicine for her teammates to restore lost health and cure certain ailments.
o Medic Suit: Talya’s personal Power Suit. This suit is very sturdy, flexible, and provides amazing defensive shielding, enabling Brigantia to tank heavy hits from enemies. However, the defensive shielding also provides protection from things like Phazon and Dark Water.
o Medikit: Talya’s all-purpose medical kit. Never seen without it, Talya keeps every single piece of medical equipment she needs in this kit. Ranging from medicines to restore health & ailments to tools needed to patch up others' power suits. Like Lage's medikit, Brigantia's contains different vaccines, like a special Metroid Vaccine that protects against all diseases, especially X-Parasites. Yet it has the same tradeoff as Lage's: It doesn't grant the receiver Metroid DNA, but it remains for the best.
o Arm Cannon: Talya's Medic Suit can form an arm cannon on Talya’s right arm. Serving as her main means of defense, Talya has amazing aim with it & can hit multiple targets with it. The charge beam is present in the arm cannon, and it can fire off the Power Beam, Ice Beam, Wave Beam, Plasma Beam, and its own unique Healing Beam which, as the name implies, heals her targets instead of inflicting damage. However, it only works on allies. It is also equipped with a Missile Launcher, and it can fire off normal & super missiles.
o Twin Plasma Sabers: These beam sabers are packed with plasma energy which take the form of sharp swords upon being sheathed. One uses high energy plasma, while the other is ultra hot plasma. They can be charged to unleash sword beams.
o Grapple Module: A technical gauntlet designed for using different grapple upgrades. The Grapple Swing & Grapple Lasso are present.
o Space Jump: This enables Talya to perform multiple spin jumps without pause for as long as she is able to keep them going.
o Space Jump Boots: These enable Talya to perform a second jump after jumping once. If she does a spin jump, then Space Jump will activate. They can be used in combination to get higher space jumps in.
o Varia Shield: Prevents damage from acid & heat.
