Liyorlis do not hug other Liyorlis. Liyorlis will hug other non-Liyorlis, since most other folks interpret a hug as a friendly gesture of trust and compassion...
As demonstrated by the vicious hugging Anyssa has to deal with on the regular. (she minds a little bit, but not as much as being mistaken for a Cow : P )
Story
The snowfall was light, but persistent; inconsequential blips of white raining down upon the town. Not enough snow for a snowman, but enough snow for people to forget how to drive, and disregard all common courtesy on the road; Which isn't saying much. Dressed head to toe in heavy winter gear, the temperature outside had barely cleared 40; a little too warm for her liking, but that wasn't up for her to decide. Other kids dressed normally, in long sleeves, and hoodies; Anyssa was stuck bundled up for a storm.
Embarrassed by her forced outfit, she opted to skip the usual preclass activities outside. Choosing to sit at her desk, and wait for class to start, maybe even getting assistance from Ms. Alpine to store away a few of the layers. The day was just starting, and she was already overheating. "Ehhhhhh," she sighed, stooping over at her desk.
From the corner of her eye, a tuft of blonde hair peaked in from the doors window, before launching the door open in unimpeded force, "Anny!" Iris cried out, rushing into the room as swift as a breeze. Tossing her bag to the side onto a random student's desk, the child threw herself onto Anyssa, wrapping her in a tight hug. "I thought you skipped school," she proclaimed in inquisitive joy, rubbing her against the poor child's skull, "I was waiting outside for you!" Boundless joy welled from inside her as a new delightful occasion unfolded; Anyssa being at school!
Holding on to the edge of her desk, and failing to grab the crimp of her chair, She struggles to remain upright as she endured the barrage of affection from a friend who did not respect boundaries. Letting out a faint whimper, as the Hugging assault continued, she couldn't find the words to answer. Iris herself was wearing winter clothes, And seemed quite fine being outside with everyone else who wasn't looking as festively clothed. It'd be mean to say she felt she looked silly; What if Iris thought hers was bad as well, "I... was feeling sick," she sputtered out, hoping it'd stop the Liyorlis's hugging fit. "You might get sick, if you keep hugging me!"
Iris stopped her vigilant assault, but held firm onto her. "I'm fine with that outcome," she said before letting go for good, and recollecting herself on her feet. "I don't think I'd be able to catch anything you have, anyways!" Standing partially in front of her, Iris smiled, "I'm already immune!" Stooping down on her knees along the side of her friend, her coat ends gathering on the floor in piles. "So, What did you catch?" eyes wide open, Hair a mess, Iris pressed closer to Anyssa, A task easier accomplished if she just tried sitting on the same chair next to her. "It's the "Snow" isn't it!? Those Bas- "
From the doorway, a tall woman emerged, "IRIS," she shouted, glancing at the child ever so close to phasing through the small dog girl, "LANGUAGE!" Ms. Alpine had arrived to class.
"No," Iris shouted back, "School hasn't started yet, I can say whatever I want for the next 3 minutes!"
Standing just beyond the doorway, She continued, "This is my classroom, If you want to use language like that, You can go outside and use it there," She raised a finger and pointed out into the hall.
Anyssa remained silent, too nervous to ask for help at this point, and too embarrassed to go outside for the remaining 2 minutes before school. Iris spoke up once more, grabbing her bag and walking towards the door, "Fine, I'll go outside." As instructed, iris went out into the hall. Just beyond the doorframe, looking in the class room. Ms. Alpine, watching her carefully, having been here before. A stalemate of wits. Just beyond the threshold of the classroom, but still susceptible to the consequences.
"Ms. Alpine, can you help me take off my jacket?" Anyssa asked, desperately struggling with a few sets of buttons. Before her instructor could even answer, Iris came rushing back into the room to help. "Thank you," she muttered, as Iris also continued to struggle with the same buttons.
The school bell had rung, and the day was to just beguin, "Fuck," she muttered as she struggled to help in time.
