The lights of a car became visible in the distance as it moved closer to them through the highway. There was another brief quiet moment between them before Ignacio interrupted it.

-I'm sorry about the date thing, I just… I didn't thought you'd care about something like that…-
-Could you please, forget about that…- a seemingly annoyed Veronica said -It’s not important, it's ok…- and there was silence between them for a moment. It ended after noticing some quilt still on Ignacio's face. She sighed. -I didn't think I would care either. But it turns out I did. It's been bothering me a bit but it's ok, I understand you needed to come up with something… there's no problem- Ignacio smiled and after a pause he said.
-You know, I'm sure Donnie could set you up with someone hehe…-
-OK, NOW SHUT UP!- Veronica interrupted him while trying to throw him her one hundred yards stare but failing as Ignacio’s laughter was infectious.
-He probably won't be a monster but we see what we can do about it hehe-
-That's it! Give me that stake! You're gonna die!- she said, gesturing as if she was trying to grab it from his hand. He kept chuckling while he kept it away from her.

Suddenly they were both blinded by the lights of the car approaching them at full speed.
