And suddenly she was back. She was her again. She could think, she had paws, her wings were free, she could remember her name! Eonis. She wasn't just a pet anymore. She could remember everything, every moment as an animal…but…some if it was hazy. Perhaps those were the more embarrassing parts. Nightmare was holding her, smiling. "You didn't actually think I'd keep you like that forever, did you? Eternity is a long time, even for us."
Blushing Eonis tried to say she didn't know…but she couldn't. She still didn't have a mouth. Wasn't she supposed to…? Her mind was all fuzzy for a bit. Of course not. She never had a mouth. That's what made the few times Nightmare gave her one so special! Smiling in her strange, mouthless way, she shook her head no. Of course she didn't think she'd be stuck like that forever.
"Good." Nothing more needed to be said. Eonis pulled her mare in close, holding her in her wings. It had been fun, but now it was time for aftercare for the both of them. Snuggling together as close to equals as a dragon and a pony could be.
