The snow was gently falling as evening pressed on, just enough to begin to coat the roads and sidewalks. The smell of homemade hot cocoa filled the kitchen as Aurora, dressed in her newest winter sweater hummed Christmas tunes and flitted about her kitchen with a gentle smile on her face.
Her ears perked up as she heard the front door open. without turning around she gave a warm welcome, announcing where she was in the cottage. A few moments later the warm arms of her expected guest and dear friend Arc wrapped around her waist. Aurora turned from the stove and embraced her the fox in kind, a gentle happy purr rumbling in her chest. As the pair pulled apart, they looked at each others' outfit and quickly fell into a fit of giggles as they realized they were wearing the same sweater. great minds think alike after all.
With the hot chocolate finished Aurora poured two mugs of the warm drink, added a splash of whiskey for Arc and baileys for herself, and the two migrated to the window seat to watch the snow fall and chat the night away. A special thank you to
