When I first checked furry art online, around 1995, I only found VCL and a few yahoogroups, but I was glad I wasn't alone. But then, when I joined other message boards (as I learned to understand english), I was quite surprised about the strong anti-furry feelings pretty much anywhere. So, I try to keep this side of my interests separate from my usual internet personality.
