Do you like??? This is my Roland V-Drum electronic drum kit. I use an 8", 10" and 12" mesh pad system, KD-8 kick pad with a TD-8 module. Naturally, the cymbals and snare are acoustic. The snare drum is a newly acquired Mapex Black Panther 12" X 6 1/2" deep maple and walnut shell. I bought it for it's low impact sound for small venues. My other snares tend to be LOUD. This one has great tone, feel and doesn't hurt the ears. The cymbals are Zildjian 14" New Beat Hi-Hats, 16" Rock Crash, 6" A Custom splash and 20" A Crash Ride. I use a DW hi-hat stand and Yamaha double kick pedal.

I always had them. I acquired them piece by piece. It was only about a couple of months ago Brom gave me some stands, so I set them up. I use them to practice with Matt here at the house. I have my blue Slingerland kit at his house and my main, Starclassic, kit is in the BBA studio. I just have to move the cymbals around from practice to practice.
Mmm..... TD-8
Tho, for some reason the TD6... I was partial to those for a while. But I only got to play with the TD 8 once while on tour.
I've just got an OLD Roland TD-5 with the really reeeeaaally old 8" pads.
I should upgrade my studio gear sometime soon.

Yay for banging noisy things with sticks!
Actually, that brings to mind a question about drums. I have an evil scheme, and I need a snare drum to be the centerpiece of it. I'm gonna be destroying the drum, drilling holes in it and so on, and it just needs to make noise when hit, so cheap beat to peices ones are what I want. Where should I look to buy one? There are no pawn shops around here, and all the music stores I've tried only sell brand new ones with brand new prices.
